On October 27th, 2019, Beth Mosner, Miltec UV’s Sales & Marketing Administrator, completed her 3rd LLS TNT event – the Marine Corps Marathon. The marathon started and ended at the Arlington National Cemetery and ran 26.2 miles through D.C. Over the past 3 years, Beth has raised over $10,000 as a member of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Team in Training. She has a personal connection with LLS since her niece Mackenzie was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in 2009. Thankfully, she was declared a Cancer Survivor in June of 2017. Beth runs in honor of loved ones lost, in support of those fighting the battle and for all cancer survivors.
Beth spends about 6 months out of the year training and raising funds for the LLS Team in Training. In 2017 & 2018 she ran the Disney LLS TNT Martathon raising approximately $7,600. This year she hoped to raise $2,400 to support the charity and ended up raising $2,875.
Beth truly believes that running with a purpose makes it that much easier. “I have trained and run marathons with TNT and without TNT. It really is a lot easier and more meaningful when you have a team supporting you. You can say that about life too and battling cancer. Without the support of family and friends, things are just more difficult.”
The LLS Team in Training started in 1988 and has become the leader in endurance sports training for charity. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services.
