Miltec HPI UV Systems
Miltec UV equipment is among the highest UV output in the world. When you buy UV equipment, you are paying for UV output. When you are considering purchasing UV equipment, always insist that your potential UV equipment vendor provide you with the documented proof of "UV Output" to make sure you are getting what you pay for.
Conveyor Mount Style, Focus adjustable

The conveyor mount style lamp housing is designed to retrofit your existing conveyor or one provided by Miltec UV. Optionally, we can provide manual or automatic focus adjustment or hinged lift mechanism for conveyor acces.

Lamp are available from 6" to 90" in length.
Standard output is 450 watts/in.
Optional 650 watts/in., up to 42" length.
Heat reducing cold mirror reflectors are standard.
Panel Cure UV System

The PanelCure UV system is specifically designed for applications like cabinet door panels, drawer fronts and other components which need leading edge, trailing edge, side and top curing in a single pass. Utilizing a compound angle and pitch array of only 2 lamps, we can achieve 3 dimensional curing for products up to 3" high.
The HPI Panel Cure system operates at 650 watts per inch and is capable of running mercury, gallium additive and iron additive lamps.
Labcure UV System

Our LabCure UV system comes in a variety of configurations to accomodate your application, ranging from our LabCure-Mini (tabletop version) to our LabCure Pro (free-standing version).

Web Base Mount Style

The split web base lamp style is designed for continuous web applications. We add a secondary "bottom" vented base section for light shielding beneath the substrate. The web base is hinged for easy product access and also incorporates a built-in probe guide assembly which allows you to use a probe type radiometer at the exact focal point of the lamp output for accurate UV readings.

For longer and heavier lamps housings, we also offer an optional pneumatic lift system for raising the lamp system.
Fiber and Wire Style

The specialized fiber and wire lamp system incorporates a highly efficient and tightly focused 360° cure area.

Most fiber and wire processes run at very high speeds, so this lamp system is available up to 20" in arc length and up to 650 watts per inch.

The internal protective quartz tube and back reflector assembly are easily accessed for cleaning and maintenance
Nitrogen Inerted Chamber

The nitrogen inerted chamber provides low oxygen environments, as low as 50 ppm, for special curing processes requiring this type of environment.

The air-cooled lamp system is isolated from the curing chamber by easy access quartz filter plates. The lamp system also has a pneumatic lift system which allows for easy product area access and maintenance.
The bottom of the cure chamber incorporates water cooled plates for keeping heat emissions low.

HPI Equipment Standard Features:

Miltec utilizes the newest available technologies in controls and UV output.

Miltec MPI-400 Microwave Powered UV System
MPI-400 Standard Features

Efficiency Sets global standard for high speed UV Curing of inks and coatings.

• Highest peak irradiance UV energy at the focal point of any UV system which improves cure speeds and coating properties.
• Outperforms UV curing systems produced today in UV intensity at the focal point.
• Increased UV output efficiency with Miltec’s premium reflector and new Advanced Honeycomb RF Screen which increases UV Peak Irradiance values by as much as 8%.
• High efficiency Elliptical Reflector is used to focus (or concentrate) the UV light for maximizing the peak irradiance on the substrate.
• Power supplies provided with dual power levels: 50% and 100%

Savings
• Uses 25% less electrical energy than the leading competitor’s UV system.
• Reduced replacement parts costs versus the leading competitor.
• Quick, easy bulb and component changes with Miltec’s patented “Quick Release” Screen means less downtime and labor savings.
MP-400 Power Supply

Modular design easily retrofits existing microwave
powered systems using industry standard power
cables and interface logic.

Two power levels at 400 W/inch and 200 W/inch,
automatically or manually controlled as a function of production speed to prevent overheating and over-curing at slow production speeds.

Switching to low power when suitable for a curing
process significantly reduces energy consumption and results in energy savings.

CE certified MPI-400 systems are available
ML-400 Lamp Module

Standard 10 inch (25.4 centimeters) size utilizes two patent and patent pending RF Screen technologies for cost savings and enhanced production capabilities.
Patented RF Screen includes captive quick release fasteners making removal possible in seconds for quick, easy maintenance & significant savings in downtime and labor for any production line.

Patent pending Advanced Honeycomb Screen design features:
More open air area in the screen mesh pattern provides increased UV energy delivered to the chemistry.

Provides higher UV peak irradiance which leads to
faster production speeds.

Proprietary optimum reflector material delivers more UV light to the chemistry. Cold Mirror reflectors available if additional heat reduction is required.

Significant improvement in air flow compared to leading competitor:
Improved lamp housing design eliminates the unwanted air leaks in the outer housing, resulting in more air to cool the lamp and magnetrons. Leads to longer lasting bulbs and magnetrons.

Stainless steel construction of outer housing with brushed finish:
Robust for production environments.
Easy to clean and maintain in PM programs.

ML-400 with Back Reflector

Efficiency
• Most efficient UV curing system available today for optical fiber curing.
• Highest peak irradiance UV energy at the fiber, outperforming UV systems available today, results in improved cure speeds and coating properties.
• Outperforms optical fiber UV curing systems available today in UV intensity at the fiber.
• FM Back Reflector included for optically focusing the UV energy around the back half of the fiber.
• FM Back Reflector unique engineered design provides more reflective surface area yielding higher irradiance and more uniform UV light at the fiber than leading competitor’s uv system.
Custom Multi-lamp Light Shield

The MPI-400 Microwave powered UV system has a very significant advantage over arc lamp UV systems. As an arc lamp grows in length beyond 50 inches (127 cm), there is a limit to the power density (watts/inch) at which it can be operated. Thus, a 400 watt per inch lamp becomes a 300 watt per inch lamp and as it gets even longer it becomes a 200 watt per inch lamp. The longer the lamp becomes, the power density and the ability to cure diminishes. The MPI-400 modular lamp concept maintains a constant 400 watts per inch for any length or width curing application while achieving uniform UV energy across the single row of lamps.

By simply placing each ten inch lamp module adjacent to the next lamp module, the UV peak irradiance output remains at a very high level, thus, allowing for faster curing speeds while consuming less electrical energy, resulting in an extremely cost efficient curing system.

This explains why The MPI-400 is the preferred system for any wide line curing application.
